Luke Stuart has been selected to the second team Lone Star Varsity Super Team.  The TAPPS 2A first team All State guard netted 18 points, six assists, four rebounds and three steals per game for the Patriots that reached the TAPPS Class 2A state finals!  Luke competed against other area public and private school athletes to receive this honor.

When considering the Lone Star Varsity Super Team, the selection process includes not only  dedication and success on the court but also character.  “It is a true pleasure to have the opportunity to coach Luke and his teammates.  Luke has put in countless hours of work by himself, with his coaches and his teammates to develop his skills to a high level” Coach Robert Brashear said. Luke has received the following awards this season: Floydada All Tournament Team, Fibermax Caprock Classic All Tournament Team, First Team All District, TAPPS 2A First Team All State, TAPPS All State Tournament Team, Lone Star Athlete of the Week and First Team All State Texas Association of Basketball Coaches- Small School Division.

“This award speaks highly of Luke and his efforts” Brashear said.  “But it also speaks very highly of our team success these past few years. Good players get noticed and awarded when their teams are successful.  We are fortunate to have a strong group of players like Luke who are committed to putting in the work required to improve individually and as a team.  I am so proud of Luke and all of his teammates!”
