A Best Actress title as well as two duet groups advancing to the national contest were highlights for All Saints High School Theater as they joined 8,000 other high school students from across Texas to participate in the Texas Thespian Festival in Grapevine November 17-19.  All Saints performed their one act play as well as a series of musical and acting duets.

Junior Brooke Stevenson was named Best Actress for the festival for her performance in the school’s One Act Play performance of “33 Variations” and her duet performance with senior Raymond Rider in a scene from “The Glass Menagerie”.

Two duet scenes received superior ratings and will advance to the National Thespian Festival to be held in June at the University of Nebraska. Senior Raymond Rider and junior Brooke Stevenson will advance to nationals with a scene from “The Glass Menagerie”.. Seniors Hannah Hays and Mallory Staggs performed a song from the musical “Title of Show” and were one point away from a perfect score and will also advance to the national contest…

Juniors Susannah Bumstead and Abi Jordan performed a scene from the play “Proof” while senior Zac Paston and junior Bri Sanchez performed a scene from the play “Golden Boy”.  Junior Meghan Mitchell and freshman Liberty DeLeon performed a scene from the play “Night Mother”.
