Fox 34 News: Students at All Saints Episcopal went home Monday afternoon with new insight into honor.
Washington and Lee University’s Institute of Honor sent representatives to lecture on its importance. One of them graduated from the Episcopal school.
All Saints has its own honor system created by students intended to promote integrity.
“We’re also trying to develop student voice. The Honor Council is something that the students lead, with faculty advisers, but they have a lot of responsibility in order to make this thing run properly,” Head of School Bruce Latta said.
Washington and Lee’s ‘Honor System’ has been around since the 1840’s. Latta hopes it inspires All Saints’ Young Program that started last year.
