The eighth grade traveled to Mo Ranch located in Hunt, Texas, the first week of October. Students had the chance to participate in four “high ropes” elements: the Big Gulp, zip line, rappelling from the catwalk, and the highly anticipated Mo Pole. Each student was encouraged to take part in all four of these challenging activities, but they had to be willing to literally step outside their comfort zone.

Students also participated in team building events such as a scavenger hunt and raft building and racing. They experienced nature through kayaking the Guadalupe River and a reptile demonstration. In the evenings, students had fun playing games and roasting marshmallows for s’mores.

Several students remarked Mo Ranch was better than any summer camp they’d attended. The bonds formed at Mo Ranch will last for many years to come.
