We’ve had a record breaking year in All Saints Choirs!
In Middle School and High School choirs, students can choose, if they would like, to audition in a process called TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) auditions. TMEA is a very prestigious music organization in our nation. Last year, we had our very first Middle School choir student audition for the TMEA All-Region Choir – and she made it! That very first student was Laken Koepp as an 8th grader.
This year, we had MANY Middle School students compete and there were NINE All Saints representatives in the Middle School All-Region Choir concert.
In the 6th Grade Honor Choir, we had Abigail Barritt, Chloe Conover, Campbell Howe, Scott Sanford and Avery Turner.
In the Middle School All Region Choir, we had Layla Alalawi, Ash Bumstead, Emma Keller, Anika Iyer, and Vincent Paone.
In the High School TMEA process, there are three levels of auditions which end in the TMEA All-State Choir. We had THREE All Saints representatives in the High School All-Region Choir. They were Anna Arnett, Hannah Hays and Mallory Staggs.
All three singers competed in Pre-Area. Anna Arnett and Hannah Hays both passed the second round of competition and on January 7th, they will compete to be a part of the TMEA All-State Choir!
